Have You Ever Seen A Football Player This Big?

This guy is pretty freaking huge, isn’t he? This is 6’11”, 390 pound, Terrell Brown.  He is a walk-on for Ole Miss and, according to The Clarion-Ledger, is “almost too huge to play football”. Brown is without question the tallest football player I have ever heard of. There’s a reason why Brown is a walk-on.  His football experience is very limited, according to co-offensive coordinator Mike Markuson.  Brown transferred to Ole Miss from Mississippi Delta Community College, but is not listed on the 2009 MDCC roster, and he has no profile on any of the major recruiting

Joe Reitz Embarrasses Himself In TD Celebration

Offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, Joe Reitz, played four years of basketball at Western Michigan University.  He graduated in 2008 with a degree in finance and finished his college career third on the team’s all-time scoring and rebounding lists.  Reitz had a shot at playing professional basketball in Europe, but he was actually more intrigued by the interest of Ravens scout Lionel Vital, who took not of him while scouting the Mid-American Conference tournament for untapped football talent. Reitz is 6’7” and had been a football star in high school.  At 255 pounds, he

Man Wore McNabb Redskins Jersey To Eagles Camp

43 year old Jim Devlin showed up in Bethleham, Pennsylvania, last Wednesday morning to watch the Philadelphia Eagles training camp.  He was, however, wearing a No. 5 Donovan McNabb Redskins jersey. Acting on the orders of Eagles head coach Andy Reid, a security guard asked Devlin to remove the jersey.  Devlin complied with the order and stayed on the sidelines with his guest pass to watch the rest of the practice.  He was back at practice that afternoon wearing a bright red Kevin Kolb jersey he bought from the gift shop, saying that he wanted to “blend in”.  Uh-huh. A new report

Tom Brady Puts Down His O-Line

Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady led New England to three Super Bowl championships in the past decade, and is now entering his 11th season with a sense of urgency, even if he has to prod his teammates like cattle. During a walkthrough last week Brady called his offensive linemen a bunch of fat cows.  I’ll bet there are five people who would disagree. “Yeah, I know – it wasn’t my finest moment,” Brady said Tuesday night. “I got a little heated, and I was surprised that came out of my mouth. Someone said to me later, ‘Tom, did you really call us fat cows in the huddle?’ I

Awesome Shot By Member Of “The Legendary Shots”

Have you seen these guys?  They’re from Alabama and they call themselves “The Legendary Shots”.  One day they decided they were going to attempt to make the longest basketball shot they have ever tried. They shuttled basketballs via elevator to 17 year old, Pinson Valley High School quarterback, Evan Sellers who was on a 134 foot high platform near the top of Birmingham’s Vulcan monument.  Time after time, Sellers launched shots that hit the rim or narrowly missed the basket set up on the ground below. The monument staff gave these guys a two hour time limit.  Finally, 10

Phil Mickelson Reveals Health Condition

While Phil Mickelson is preparing to tee it up at the PGA Championship, he also has plenty going on off the course that may have a major impact on his performance. At his first PGA Championship press conference, Mickelson revealed that he has psoriatic arthritis, which rendered him unable to walk just prior to the U.S. Open. “About eight weeks ago, about five days before the U.S. Open started, I woke up and had some intense pain in some areas of my body,” Mickelson said, “some joints and tendons and so forth, so much so that I couldn’t walk. And it progressively got
